Luggage is an absolutely essential part of any trip. We are so tired of buying a new suitcase every year because they’ve ripped, dented, or fallen completely open on the baggage carousel (true story!). Investing in high-quality luggage will save you thousands over time, but you can likely save even more on these brands this Black Friday. Plus, we’re gearing up for a round-the-world trip, and we need our luggage to last for 365 days of straight travel. So these recommendations are great for full-time travelers and the more casual travelers.
Away Carry On – This suitcase is popular for a reason. It’s super sturdy, rolls well, and its interior compression system allows us to actually fit a week’s worth of clothes into a carry-on. Or you can opt to purchase one of their larger, checked bags.
Briggs & Riley – There was a massive Briggs & Riley Black Friday sale last year that we missed out on. We won’t be making the same mistake this year! We love this brand because they have a true lifetime guarantee. You don’t even need a receipt for it!
Black Friday Tech Deals for Travelers
GoPro Hero 13 Black – This is still our favorite action camera. It’s the perfect item to bring when a regular camera feels like a liability. It’s compact enough to bring anywhere, but still durable to survive even the most adventurous trips.
Sony ZV-1 II – If you’re like us and desperately want to get your hands on the Canon G7X III, you’ll be delighted to know that this camera is incredibly similar and, unlike the Canon, is not chronically sold out or overpriced. In fact, there’s a high likelihood that this one will be on sale for Black Friday!
Ray-Ban Meta Glasses – These have quickly become one of our favorite ways to capture a moment without being on our phones or pulling out a camera. There are some places where it feels unsafe to pull out other tech, or you just want to be even more in the moment while still capturing everything around. This offers hands-free photo taking and video recording in a pair of glasses.
AirPods – These aren’t just on the list because they make it easy to listen to music and podcasts on the go. They’re on the list because they can provide instant translation when you don’t know how to speak a foreign language.
Kindle – We will never again carry heavy books with us around the world. Why would we when we can fit thousands of books into one light device?! Amazon almost always runs a Kindle Black Friday deal, so it’s worth grabbing one this year instead of waiting.
Plane Accessories
These are the best travel gadgets that make flying in economy actually comfortable and almost always get discounted during Black Friday, making it the best time to snag them.
Travel Foot Hammock – This footrest hooks onto your tray table so you can elevate your feet, which is a game-changer on long flights. Small plane accessories like this one are easy to miss in the bigger Black Friday sales, so it’s worth a specific search.
Twelve South AirFly – No more dentangling wired headphones for twenty minutes when you board a plane. This device plugs into the plane’s headphone jack, so you can listen to the seatback entertainment with your favorite wireless headphones. The AirFly is a frequent pick in Black Friday tech deals, so grab it early before they sell out.
Clothes & Accessories
Unbound Merino – These are our go-to base layers for just about every climate. They’re anti-wrinkle and anti-sweat, so you can pack less and still look put together day after day on your trip. Unbound Merino has a solid Black Friday sale, so this is the best time to stock up on basics.
Pair Eyewear – Interchangeable frame toppers mean we can keep our style fresh without packing five different pairs of sunglasses or glasses.
Oura Ring – The Oura Ring 5 is 40% smaller than the previous generations, which was enough of a reason for me to upgrade. We can’t guarantee this one will be part of an Oura Ring Black Friday deal since it’s fairly new, but the prior generations should be on sale for Black Friday.

Black Friday travel deals and Travel Tuesday deals are some of the best of the year, and this is the best week of the year to book the trip(s) you’ve been talking about instead of just window shopping.
